    Brush and bulky item collection is provided to all City residential solid waste ratepayers.

    A zoning district to be mapped as an overlay to a corridor.
  • Corridor Revitalization Program

     Program designed to revitalize and stimulate new business development along the Corridor.
  • Down Payment Assistance

    Assist eligible residents who are buying a new or existing home within the targeted area with up to $12,000 for down payment or closing costs.
  • Financial Empowerment (FEC)

    The San Antonio Financial Empowerment Centers offer free, one-on-one professional financial counseling to all residents.
  • First Time Home Buyers (HIP)

    Assist eligible residents who are buying a new or existing home within the targeted area with up to $12,000 for down payment or closing costs.
  • Graffiti Wipeout Program

    The City and several other local organizations, through a partnership called the Graffiti Wipeout Program, are doing a number of things to decrease this vandalism, such as painting over and removing graffiti on public property in parks and other areas in designated corridors.
  • Green and Healthy Homes

    The City of San Antonio’s Green and Healthy Homes Program (SAGHH) (formerly the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program) provides financial assistance to owners and landlords of residential properties built prior to 1978 with children under the age of six to control lead-based paint hazards.

  • Local Tax Exemption for Substantial Rehabilitation of Historic Properties and Owner - Occupied Residences in New Historic Districts

    All residential properties occupied by the property owner in newly designated local historic districts at the time of designation receive a 20% exemption on their City property taxes for 10 years.  
  • Minor Repair Program

    CDBG funds may be used to perform minor home repairs as well as ADA modifications for seniors 62 years of age or older, disabled individuals meeting the Census Bureau definition of Disabled, or families at or below 80% of the AMI.

    Neighborhood Conservation Districts are zoning overlay designations, used as management tools to address the appropriateness of new and infill construction in both residential and commercial neighborhoods.
  • Neighborhood Enhancement Team

    The Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET) is a newly created team of proactive code enforcement officers dedicated to coordinated code investigations and special projects with special emphasis on highly traveled areas throughout the City's main district corridors and inner city reinvestment areas.‬

  • Neighborhood Registration & Look Up

    The Neighborhood Planning and Urban Design Section is responsible for maintaining the list of registered neighborhood associations and community organizations for the City of San Antonio. Staff is also available to assist and advise neighbors interested in forming a neighborhood association or community organization. 
  • Operation Facelift - Façade Improvement Program

    Reverse the deterioration of commercial structures, promote consistency in design, and create aesthetically pleasing environments while assisting property owners with the appropriate exterior rehabilitation of their buildings and bring them up to City Code.
  • Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation

    Financially assists low-moderate income owner-occupied households to rehabilitate their substandard and non-code compliant residential properties by means of providing low-interest loans or deferred payment loans to cover the cost of the needed repairs.
  • Plumbers to People

    Provides plumbing assistance to low-income residential customers 
  • Property for Sale

    City-owned properties and vacant parcels available for sell. 
  • S.T.A.R. (Students Together Achieving Revitalization)

    To address minor exterior home repairs such as windows, screens, siding, porches and provide general yard maintenance and exterior painting
  • San Antonio Bikes

    The City of San Antonio’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Program is working to raise the level of cycling and walking for daily travel and improve cycling and pedestrian safety.
